Rohman Farm

Henry Rohman is the owner/operator of Rohman Farm Inc. of Westfield, New York. Henry has been actively engaged in farming activities his entire life. Born in South Ripley, New York, his parents moved to the Westfield area in 1939. After graduating from high school, he entered the military service and returned back home in 1956. He bought his first grape farm in 1958 where he currently resides. Additional grape acreage has been added to the original farm where today they maintain eighty acres of Concords and nineteen acres of Niagara’s. In addition to grape farming, he has also grown tomatoes and potatoes. Most of this land has now been converted over into grape acreage. Henry and his son Henry Lee, who also works with his dad, recently purchased a new Oxbo grape harvester. Henry Lee says "this new automated harvester simplifies our harvesting tremendously".

When his time permits one of Henry's hobbies is restoring old cars and tractors. His latest project is restoring a Ford 9N tractor.

Henry has been a member of the Co-Op since 1980. One of the main reasons he joined the Cooperative was because of the personalized working relationship between the Co-Op and its members. Another reason he mentioned is the company's willingness to assist its members in their vineyard practices which contributes to the high quality grape juice they provide to our customers.
